Steps

  • 1. Preheat the oven

    Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) and preheat it while you prepare the cookie dough. This will ensure that the cookies bake evenly and have a golden brown color.

  • 2. Mix the ingredients

    In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened butter, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of packed brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and mix until well combined. In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
